King' was kept illegally as an exotic pet in a Paris apartment. He was rescued by French rescue charities and taken to a centre in Belgium. Born Free Foundation launched an appeal to rehome him to their big cat sanctuary at Shamwari in South Africa. King has now been successfully relocated to Shamwari, and Born Free now need donations to fund his food, health checks and veterinary care; as well as enclosure upkeep and maintneance.I have painted this portrait of King to raise funds for the charity, with all of the proceeds from the sale going to help King.

One of my latest charity projects is a portrait of two of the orphan elephants - Ndotto and Lasayen, currently being cared for at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's orphanage. The painting will be auctioned with all of the proceeds going to the charity. Prints of the painting are also available, and all of the profits from these is also being donated to help the work of The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. You can find out more background behind the painting at my Conservation page, and for Ndotto's and Lasayen's full story, please visit my website www.emmabowring.co....
