The Artist

"Often when I am traveling and birding, you do not have time for sketching but my camera is always with me. This shot captures on area of the crowded beach at Maquarie Island. The Kings were busy molting and had no need to try and cross the barrier of blubber to get to the water. This is an amazing island that has had all the rats and rabbits eradicated. The King penguins and the Royal penguins flourish here. "
