Late Summer into Early Fall
In this area riparian vegetation, streams, and habitat are prevalent. They are often a tangle of trees and slow moving water in summer, and inundated trees and brown, swiftly moving water in winter and early spring. They are always home to many species of fish, waterfowl, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Unfortunately they and the homes they provide are dwindling, but it's still a real treat to find yourself in one of these places.
I'm happy to say that this painting won a judge's award at Art in the Redwoods in 2018. I was honored.
