Group of four panels from the Kingsbrae Residency (Seeds of Change) Project - June 2019 in St. Andrews New Brunswick.

In Robert Frost's poetry, the call of the Oven Bird signifies the change of seasons and the passage of time.

Call of the Ovenbird

"Tea-cher, tea-cher, tea-cher, T . . . "

The leafy circle was inspired by Neilson's sketchbook drawings of new mock orange branches in the spring in British Columbia. The Ovenbirds were included for their seasonal symbolism and the "Teacher" call, but also because they live in Eastern parts of the country including New Brunswick where the Kingsbrae Arts Centre is located.
