The St Louis County Plein Air Festival celebrates the tradition of outdoor painting combining art and science in its most natural format. Painting from life and the landscape has long been an artistic tradition whether to make a record as in the cave paintings or document details for further study or to express the feelings of the moment. The above plein air image was painted by our guest workshop instructor Marty Coulter. Master Naturalist Sandy Brooks will be available at all locations to provide information about the area, habitat and wildlife.
