Early Fall in the Great South Fork
I was solo camping at the Great South Fork Wildlife area in Tennessee in October. If you travel a gravel road about eight miles, there's an old train bridge across the river with hikng trails on either side. Hiking back about 2 miles, then bushwhacking down to the river's edge this wonderful scene presented itself to me. I was drawn to the multiple, receding hillsides, some partially illuminated by the afternoon sun, some in shadow.
