Karin Snoots collaborated with Marine Education Research and Rehabilitation Institute (MERR) in the design of a Delaware automobile license plate that features themes of conservation and the state's natural beauty. It was signed into law Aug. 1, 2012 by Gov. Jack Markell and was approved by both the DMV, and Delaware Law Enforcement now

Objective(s): 

The Plate is currently available through the DMV. Delaware residents can transfer their current number to the new plate, and the cost is a one-time fee of $50, of which MERR gets $35.
