Tuchodi Lake, Muskwa-Kechika, British Columbia
The Muskwa-Kechika region of British Columbia is wild and remote. I was intrigued by the vast largely unvisited region and so in 2012 as part of an expedition for the BC Breeding Bird Atlas, I visited the MK on horseback to search for birds. Tuchodi Lake was my jumping off site at the end of the trip. The colour of the lake and clear mountain sky was breathtaking. This watercolor painting is an example of field sketches I do during my travels.
