The most exciting thing for me when I lived in England before moving to Australia at the age of eight was receiving my nana's home-sewn koala toys. So dear to my heart they brought me hours of joy and an ever-evolving appreciation of all animals, especially wildlife.
I feel so blessed to live in this beautiful and wonderful country of ours with its unique and awe-inspiring wildlife. But what will the future of koalas look like now that they are losing their habitat due to urban sprawl, deforestation and more intense and frequent bush fires.
This artwork was selected for the 2013 Art of Conservation- An International Exhibit of Nature in Art Virtual exhibit with companion hard cover coffee table book.
