Wide-eyed, innocent and vulnerable, they have no voice except for the language they speak with their eyes. Owl monkeys are losing their forest habitat and numbers are declining due to the human footprint. New scientific research proves that protecting forests, even small fragments, is vital to the species' survival. If we lose them we lose a part of ourselves as well as the beauty and colour that makes our world. I chose the black and white medium to symbolize this.
