Every spring the Osprey pair returns home to Algonquin Park and their nest built atop a white pine whose top was blown out by a lightning strike. It was a perfect choice to build the nest here and to raise their young , a perfectly engineered nest of twigs and sticks , built high in a tree with no access to predators and a perfect vantage point to catch the fish from the lake to feed their young. I have marveled for years as I, too, return each summer to respectfully catch a glimpse of their wild lives.
