This painting was inspired after a trip to one of New South Wales' most pristine wilderness areas - the Jaimeson Valley. It is a vast Heritage National Park and on most days you can hear these often large and loud cockatoos screeching their calls from the tops of the tall eucalypts. Their calls echo out over the valley as they go from lookout tree to lookout tree. I have tried to capture that essence in my painting.
