When my husband and I traveled to Africa we had the pleasure of observing and photographing this adorable cub. We were on one of our morning game drives and were following a pride of lions. There were two males, five females and ten cubs in this pride.
We followed this pride down into a dry river bed and had the wonderful opportunity to watch the interaction as they lounged in the sand. When we decided it was time for us to leave our vehicle would not go into four-wheel drive and we became steadfastly stuck in the sand. We had no other choice than to just wait the lions out and hope that they would move on soon. While sitting there for a couple of hours I got hundreds of pictures of the pride. It was truly a thrill of a lifetime!
