The Colorado Piedmont is an area along the base of the foothills of the Front Range in north central Colorado in the United States. I drive through it often on visits to the family cabin near Rocky Mountain National Park. As I drive, my mind wanders to historical times. This is a somewhat romantic and historical depiction of subtle interactions among wildlife passing through what once was “The American Serengeti.” Although "historical," I also wanted to create a vision that was quite possible to see today.
